Description of the job Two vacancies for a M&A Legal Counsel have arisen within Airbus in Toulouse. You will join the Legal Affairs M&A. This cross-divisional opportunity offers the chance to interact with internal and external specialists to coordinate, manage and drive the legal aspects of acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures ? frequently as the lead attorney representing Airbus. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to adapt to new environments and ways of working, the skills to build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups, a clear and simple writing style and a high degree of organization. The position reports directly to Head of M&A Legal. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include: Partnering with M&A Strategy professionals transaction to manage all aspects of the acquisition/divestiture deal process Driving and coordinating participation and input from internal members of the project team (including antitrust, tax, finance, HR, compliance, export control, insurance, real estate and relevant business stakeholders) Managing outside counsel, including their selection and invoicing Drafting preliminary agreements and supervising the drafting and negotiation of transaction documents by outside counsel Maintaining awareness regarding legal developments, regulatory trends and negotiation strategies relevant to M&A and aerospace/defense, generally. This role will involve frequent travel, often on short notice for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company?s success, reputation and sustainable growth. Required skills We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: Educated to a Master's degree level (or equivalent) in Law Confirmed international corporate legal experience as a practicing corporate lawyer, with experience at a large, international firm Ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously Ability to interface and communicate Ability to persuade and convince Negotiation level of English is required for this position.
